The first season of La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo has come to an end and it was pretty awesome.

The real Estela Carrillo returned after supposedly escaping from El Dorado. Everyone believed her story, except for Milton who found out the truth. Poor Milton didn’t get to tell anyone because Estela took him out. What did Milton know? Estela is El Dorado.

Asdrubal was her right-hand man and lover. He was jealous of Ryan and wanted Estela for himself. Estela though was obsessed with Ryan and double-crossed Asdrubal by sending him to meet Danilo with an unloaded gun. Asdrubal fired his gun at Danilo and, when Danilo saw the gun was empty, he didn’t hesitate to fire and kill Asdrubal.

Laura goes to see Estela and all of the secrets come out. Estela killed her father, Pedro, after he told her the truth about her parents. Estela is Mercy’s missing daughter, which means that Ryan is her brother. I’m sick to my stomach at this moment. Estela is in love with her brother. After Estela goes into hiding, Laura confronts Mercy and Mercy makes Laura promise that she won’t tell Ryan the truth.

Meanwhile, Danilo sold Morgana to El Sagrado. She’s disgusted and upset with Danilo because he keeps lying to her. Morgana asks El Sagrado if she can go see her sister. She goes to a car dealership and asks her sister to keep her guard busy so she can take a car for a test drive and meet Danilo. Her sister agrees and Morgana confronts Danilo who spews more lies. She’s had enough and shoots him.

He looked a bit bulky to me. I thought he had on a bulletproof vest and I was right. After calling Laura and telling her that he’s dying, Laura and Ryan go out to the scene and Danilo’s not there and a bulletproof vest is found. I was thrilled.

We fast forward a year and Laura has had her baby. Furia Productions is now Regia Productions. Leticia is a successful tailor and Chavalin reopened his bakery. Morgana is marrying El Sagrado.

Estela is in an airport, waiting for someone. That someone turns out to be Joe. Mercy thought the jerk had gone back to his wife and family. He didn’t. For some reason, he decided to be with a criminal.

As they get up to board the plane, Danilo appears. Estela feels something is wrong, but she doesn’t see Danilo.

Laura wins the award for Best Album of the year. She gives a great speech and at the end spots someone or something in the crowd. Ryan turns and spots the same thing and it ends. We have to wait until the second season to find out what they saw.
