Yesterday, we celebrated moms, so today I decided to write a post about one of the best TV moms — Beverly Goldberg from The Goldbergs. She is the best TV mom because there is nothing she won’t do for her children.

When Erica wanted to have her Dirty Dancing moment, she made sure it happened. Beverly also supported Erica when she decided she wanted to go to college in Philadelphia.

Beverly never fails to encourage Barry. Because of her, Barry believes he can do just about anything, including rapping and karate. Additionally, she constantly tells Barry how “delicious” he is. That’s her word, not mine.

When it comes to Adam, she’s managed to get the gym teacher fired over dodgeball (she got him rehired later), and helped him get over the breakup with Dana by being his assistant during a magic show so he could impress another girl. No matter what the situation happens to be, she is always there for her kids.

Does she go over the top at times? Yes, she definitely goes to extremes and tends to make things about her. After all, she’s not flawless. But like any good mother, she admits when she’s wrong. To be honest, I think this might be her best character trait. It takes a lot to admit when you’re wrong, especially with your own children, but Beverly Goldberg finds a way to do it and make everything right in the end.
