I remember the first time I saw one of these lizards on a trip to Florida. I came out of my hotel room and out of the corner of my eye I saw movement on the ground next to me. When I saw it was a lizard, I jumped about a mile and screamed, giving my husband a good laugh. Since then, I’ve taken lizard sightings in stride when I visit Florida.

The dog in this video handles seeing a lizard much better than I did.
